Private tutoring sessions give your child one-on-one tutoring in the comfort of his/her own home. Tutoring is available for all grades Pre K - grade 12.
Rates are reasonable and affordable. Tutoring in your own home provides many advantages over educational centers for learning. Whether your child attends private or public school, we are available to work with your child!
Each and every student will have a complimentary consultation/evaluation. This gives me the opportunity to meet you and your child. I then have the opportunity to evaluate his/her academic abilities, strengths and weaknesses, personality and discuss your goals for the tutoring sessions. The consultation is extremely beneficial for the student, the parent and the tutor.

Many of our tutors are qualified to teach children with special needs. Many of us have over 10 years of experience working with children with special needs. We work from IFSPs & IEPs to help your child excel and improve his/her self-esteem.

I currently hold a MA in Elementary Education from Adelphi University. I also hold a BS in Psychology with a concentration in Special Education PreK - 12 and Elementary Education PreK-6 from Molloy College. All of the teachers at The Teacher Next Door, Inc. are NYS Certified teachers with many years of experience in the teaching field. I work on academic achievement and attitudes toward learning.
